Union of Health Care Committees (UHCC) was founded in 1985 by an initiative of leaders and professionals people from Gaza Strip and West Bank as a response to the Palestinian community health needs and to provide health services of high quality to Palestinian people , specially the marginalized and poor groups of Gaza Strip. Over the years , UHCC became a leading Palestinian health NGO, it’s an active member of Palestinian NGOs Network and shares a prominent role through its membership of Arab NGOs network , in addition UHCC is the only specialized Palestinian NGO that provides health services to children suffering from heart diseases (congenital heart diseases). UHCC reached this well-known position through its professional and qualified staff , implementing sustainable projects and adopting participatory approaches and net working with different stakeholders of health sector in the Palestinian Territories.
